SOLIT has been committed to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for quite some time. This is reflected both in shipping and in other parts of the company. Let's start with the 3 main improvements where CSR has been implemented:

Sustainable shipping - All members of the SOLIT socks subscription receive their socks on a fixed day, allowing all packages to be sent at once with the SOLIT parcel service.
Sustainable production - The socks are certified with the OEKO-TEX label. Our factory operates under safe conditions and inspects the high-quality cotton and bamboo for unsafe or harmful materials.
Sustainable packaging - SOLIT recycles the packaging, greatly reducing the required material. This happens in the form of a Send & Collect service!

The sustainable shipping of SOLIT

The sustainable entrepreneurship of SOLIT socks continues on the shipping side, where as more socks are sent to customers, necessary changes have also been made. This is mainly reflected in the effectiveness of the shipping:

Local shipping - The socks were initially sold from a home garage. The target group at that time consisted of Uithoorn, Uithoorn, and Uithoorn with occasional orders from Amsterdam. To this day, residents of Uithoorn and surroundings can use the local delivery service. The packages do not need to be picked up by PostNL from the warehouse and are not transported via the distribution center in Amsterdam.

The socks are delivered by SOLIT's own service in Uithoorn and surroundings. Where shipping costs normally amount to €3.95, the customer pays only €1 for local delivery. Team SOLIT strives to deliver these packages the same working day!
The bike courier - Fietskoeriers.nl is the first and only parcel courier by bike delivering throughout the Netherlands. Our goal is to make logistics in Dutch cities smarter and cleaner. And how can this be better than by bike?
